Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Joao Palhinha. Bayern Munich signed the Portuguese midfielder last summer from Fulham for a fee worth €56 million.

The 30-year-old played 17 league matches for Bayern Munich, starting only six. According to recent reports, Vincent Kompany does not have the player in his plans, and Palhinha is among the club’s expected outgoings.

Tottenham’s interest in Palhinha isn’t concrete at this stage, but there is interest, according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.

If the Premier League side decides to approach Bayern for the 30-year-old, it will likely be on a loan deal. However, a member of the current squad will have to depart, as there are already five players operating in that area of the pitch.
