President Donald Trump on Wednesday in a statement on his social media platform announced that: “I have been speaking to @CocaCola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so.
“I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them — You’ll see. It’s just better!” he added.
However, Greg Bluestein chief political reporter at The Atlantic Journal-Constitution counter the president statement in a post: “A Coca-Cola spokesperson said the company appreciates “Trump’s enthusiasm” for its brand but did not go as far as confirming such a move.”
Trump announcement is seen as a move to cover the Epstein file saga, as there has been calls from several corners for accountability and released of the file which the president claimed it’s all “hoax” made up by Obama and Comey.
In his word to the media: “I don’t understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It’s pretty boring stuff. I think really only pretty bad people, including fake news, want to keep something like that going.”
Under the president Coca Cola Post, the governor of California Gavin Newsom had mockingly written: “Oh thank god! I’ve totally forgotten about the Epstein files now!”
