AC Milan Backs Off On Victor Boniface Move

Victor Boniface’s proposed move to AC Milan has collapsed after the striker reportedly failed his medical.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal was called off after medical examinations revealed issues that prevented the transfer from proceeding.

Romano reported on his Instagram yesterday:

“AC Milan call Victor Boniface deal off as Nigerian striker did not pass the medical tests.”

“Despite verbal agreement for €5m loan fee and €24m buy clause, with the player in Milano in the last 48 hours, deal called off due to medical. Boniface returning to Germany today.”

The deal cannot be revived, as confirmed by Bayer Leverkusen’s Director of Sport, Simon Rolfes.

“If Boniface comes back to Leverkusen, the AC Milan deal will be over. That’s no big secret,” Rolfes told BILD.

“I don’t think that will happen. His (Boniface’s) physical situation has improved compared to the beginning.”

The Nigerian forward, who was in Milan over the past 48 hours to finalize the move, will now return to Germany to rejoin Bayer Leverkusen.
