Havertz Set For Long Spell On The Sidelines

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has sustained a knee injury that is expected to keep him out for an extended period. The German international was absent from training on Wednesday, confirming the seriousness of the issue.

According to David Ornstein, the club will conduct further tests to determine the full extent of the injury.

With the 26-year-old sidelined, Arsenal may be forced to enter the transfer market. At present, Mikel Arteta’s attacking options are limited to Viktor Gyökeres, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Leandro Trossard, with Gyökeres the only recognised centre forward.

The Gunners are monitoring Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, valued at around €90–100 million, as well as Ademola Lookman, who could cost €50 million.
