On Monday, the President of the united states Donald Trump, hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and key European leaders, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, at the White House for urgent peace talks on Ukraine.
It was a long and detailed conversation, with the key issue being a starting point towards ending the war, including steps to bring peace closer. There were also several meetings in a format with European leaders and the President of the United States.
A lot of attention was given to the return of the abducted Ukrainian children, to the release of prisoners of war and civilians held by Russia.
Following his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump emphasized long-term security guarantees and weapons support.
