Aina To Miss Nigeria’s Final Two World Cup Qualifiers Clash After Successful Surgery

Nottingham Forest full-back Ola Aina has successfully undergone surgery to repair a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria

In a short video post accompanied by an upbeat caption, Aina said the operation “went really well” and that his recovery is progressing. He thanked Nottingham Forest, his teammates and supporters for their support, and expressed eagerness to return to action at the City Ground.

Club sources expect Aina to be sidelined until December. This means Aina will miss Nigeria ‘s last two world cup qualifiers game against Benin Republic and Lesotho. The full back is also likely to miss the African Cup of Nations.
