Chelsea are interested in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and recently met with the player’s agent at Grosvenor House in London, according to Indykaila News. The meeting was held to present their offer and try to convince the player to join the club.
Guehi was close to leaving Palace last summer, with Liverpool having reached an agreement to sign him on deadline day. He was ready to undergo medicals, but the move collapsed after Crystal Palace failed to secure a replacement and didn’t sign the necessary documents.
The England international has made it clear he won’t sign a new contract and plans to leave when his current deal expires at the end of the season. His availability as a free agent is expected to attract strong interest, as clubs would only need to cover his wages and signing bonus, not a transfer fee.
