Inter Miami captain and Forward player, Lionel Messi in a match against New York City Football Club scored two goals and provided an assist, defeating NYCFC 4-0 at Citi Field on Wednesday, securing their second consecutive MLS Cup playoff berth.
The victory, which included a first-half assist to Baltasar Rodríguez and a second-half penalty converted by Luis Suárez after Messi earned it, extended Inter Miami’s winning streak to three and positioned them four points ahead in the Eastern Conference with five games remaining.
