William Saliba Commits Future To Arsenal With New Long-Term Contract

William Saliba has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, keeping him at the club until 2030. Saliba, who joined Arsenal in 2019, has made 140 appearances for the club.

The French defender expressed his commitment to Arsenal in an interview with the club’s media, saying:

“I feel proud of myself because I first signed in 2019, and now I’m still here to extend my contract.”

“I feel at home. It’s the best place to be. I enjoy every day when I have the chance to wear this shirt.”

Sporting Director Andrea Berta also shared his delight in Saliba’s decision to stay, saying:

“We’re so happy that William has committed his future to us and to be part of what we’re building here. In the last three seasons, William has become an incredible defender whose composure, intelligence, and physical presence make him one of the best in the world. He will continue his development with Arsenal to reach new heights.

His consistency, maturity, and ability to influence matches will continue to be a big asset for us, and we’re looking forward to many more great performances from him at the heart of our defence.”

Real Madrid had shown interest in signing Saliba as a free agent when his contract was set to expire in 2027, but the Los Blancos will now have to focus on other targets.
