Cristiano Ronaldo Spearheads Portugal’s Training Ahead Of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Portugal 40-year-old captain Cristiano Ronaldo, spearheaded intense training sessions this week at the Cidade do Futebol complex ahead of crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland on October 11 in Dublin and Hungary on October 14 in Lisbon.

Ronaldo had posted on social media: ““Focused on our mission!” alongside training pictures showing intense love displayed towards him by his team mates.

Fresh from receiving a special award for 22 years of service, Ronaldo emphasized the team’s aim to win both matches and secure qualification in UEFA Group D, where Portugal leads with seven points.

With a full squad including returns from Rafael Leão, Diogo Dalot,  Bruno Fernandes and others, the team displays strong unity under coach Roberto Martínez, despite tactical challenges from opponents.
