The Member of the House of Representatives for Lagos Island Federal Constituency II and Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-corruption, Honourable (Prince) Kayode Moshood Akiolu, has extended his warmest felicitations to his father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Riliwanu Babatunde Aremu Osuolale Akiolu (Akiolu I), the Oba of Lagos, on the auspicious occasion of his 82nd birthday.
In a heartfelt message, the federal lawmaker expressed his profound gratitude to God for the life, good health, and enduring wisdom of the revered monarch.
Hon. (Prince) Akiolu specially acknowledged and appreciated Kabiyesi’s exemplary and pivotal leadership role as the paramount custodian of the rich traditions and culture of the people of Lagos State. He noted that the Oba’s steadfastness and deep sense of history have been instrumental in guiding and unifying the people, preserving the unique heritage of Lagos for future generations.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Anti-corruption further stated, “On this special day, I join the entire people of Lagos, your children, well-wishers, and the traditional council to celebrate a father, a leader, and an institution. Your wisdom and counsel continue to be a source of direction and inspiration.”
He prayed to Almighty God to grant the Oba many more fruitful years ahead, filled with robust health, increased knowledge, and divine wisdom as he continues to provide exemplary leadership for the people of Lagos State and uphold the esteemed culture and traditions of the land.
