Governor Uba Sani chaired over the Renewable Energy Roundtable organized by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government.
The seminal gathered leaders and stakeholders from government, development institutions, and the private sector, to deliberate and strategize how to accelerate the expansion of energy access, deepen investment prospects, and catalyze industrial growth through innovative and sustainable renewable energy solutions.
The governor had written in a statement: “At the heart of our deliberations was a reaffirmation of Kaduna State’s unwavering commitment to establishing a transparent, investor-friendly electricity market; one underpinned by policy clarity, off-grid innovation, and industrial energy frameworks designed for long-term impact.
“To this effect, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Kaduna State Government and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) to establish a tailored electrification strategies and a sustainable decentralized solar power solution across unserved and underserved communities in Kaduna State.”

Sani reaffirmed Kaduna’s commitment to building an investor-friendly electricity market and appreciated the REA and private sector partners for recognizing the state’s leadership in Nigeria’s energy transition.
Adding that: “With our abundant solar, biomass, and hydro resources, Kaduna is poised to serve as a national model for renewable energy: powering industry, uplifting communities, and advancing inclusive, sustainable growth.”
