Morocco defeated France to advance to the FIFA U20 World Cup Final. They become the third African country to make it to the last two after Ghana and Nigeria.
Morocco held France to a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of football. The Atlas Lions eventually went on to win via a 5-4 victory in the penalty shootout.
Morocco will face Argentina in the final on 20th October 2025. The last time Argentina faced an African country in the final was in 2005, where they beat Nigeria 2-1. A young Lionel Messi helped Argentina claim the title with two penalties.
Morocco will be hoping to play their best and become the second African country to win the prestigious trophy after Ghana.
