The final phase of the 2026 CAF World Cup qualifiers is set, with Nigeria, Cameroon, DR Congo, and Gabon confirmed as the four teams that will battle for a place in the intercontinental playoffs.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will use the October FIFA World Rankings to determine the semifinal pairings. Based on the current rankings, Nigeria will face Gabon, while DR Congo will take on Cameroon in the other semifinal.
The playoff will be played in a single-match knockout format, with both semifinals and the final scheduled to take place between November 13 and 16, 2025, in Morocco, which has been confirmed as the host nation.
The winner of the final will represent Africa in the FIFA intercontinental playoff, with one last spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup up for grabs.
