Nollywood actor and content creator Williams Uchemba, has demanded for accountability of apprehended kidnappers, while calling for public execution of same, citing China’s model as deterrents.

According to the actor: “The punishment for kidnapping is death. I don’t know why, when it’s time to execute that constitution, we’re not as vocal as we should be.

“When these kidnappers are caught, we don’t hear anything, whether they’re being imprisoned or executed.

“Nigeria needs to have a special channel that will be showing how all these kidnapping cases are handled, just like BBNaija.” Uchemba demanded

This is coming after the abduction and murder of businessman Ifeanyi Martins in Enugu on October 21, 2025.

Martins, popularly known as Famous and a native of Umunneochi, Abia State, was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday night in front of his home on Amechi Road, opposite Romchi Hotel.

He was later found dead near the Amechi Flyover along the Enugu–Port Harcourt road.

Reports show 278 kidnappings in April 2025 and 857 abductions in the first half of the year, amid ongoing insecurity despite government rescues and security enhancements.
