SpaceX launched its Starship rocket from Starbase, Texas, on October 13, completing its eleventh test flight by meeting all objectives, including the Super Heavy booster’s splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico and the upper stage’s in the Indian Ocean.
The mission featured deployment of Starlink satellite simulators and tests of landing maneuvers, concluding the Version 2 prototype phase.
Upgrades for Version 3 hardware are advancing preparations for lunar and Mars missions: “V3 satellites will add an order of magnitude improvement in capacity compared to the V2 Mini, designed to add 60 Tera-bits-per-second of downlink capacity to the Starlink network, resulting in even greater coverage and faster speeds for Starlink customers around the world”—Stalink confirmed
Tech billionaire and SpaceX owner Elon Musk had praised: “Great work by the @SpaceX team”
