tech billionaire and founder of xAI Elon Musk, on Monday released the beta version of Grokipedia featuring over 885,000 AI-generated and fact-checked articles sourced from real-time X data to provide uncensored information.
“Grokipedia.com version 0.1 is now live.” “Version 1.0 will be 10X better, but even at 0.1 it’s better than Wikipedia imo” Musk stated.
The platform adopts a Wikipedia-like interface with enhancements such as edit histories, timestamps for Grok’s fact-checks, and integration of live events.
In another X post, Musk vowed “The goal of Grok and http://Grokipedia.com is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. We will never be perfect, but we shall nonetheless strive towards that goal.”
Part of the AI encyclopedia outstanding feature is that errors can easily be fixed as its stated by the doge designer: “You can fix mistakes in Grokipedia easily. Just highlight the text, tap “It’s Wrong,” and send your correction.”

Already there has been criticism and comparison between Grokipedia and Wikipedia –the online encyclopedia launched in 2001, created and edited by community of contributors around the world—with online users claiming the xAI’s Grokipedia version 0.1 is already better than Wikipedia, stating it gives fact rather than misrepresentation accredited to Wikipedia.
Though two weeks back, Musk had requested users to criticize the encyclopedia to enable upgrade to a better version, in his words: “Buggy beta version of Grokipedia V0.1 will be released on Monday. Even this very early release is better on average than Wikipedia imo.
“We will be looking for as much critical feedback as possible. And we will offer you the opportunity to donate $5 to send a Grok dick pic to Jimmy Wales.” Slamming the co-founder of Wikipedia in the process for his ideological bias.
However, Wales during an interview with Lulu Garcia-Navarro a week back, had responded to Musk attack claiming “the level of trust in Elon Musk is extremely low, because he says wild things all the time.”
Wales had described Musk attack as “counterproductive,” affirming further “We’ll still be here in 100 years, and he won’t.”
