Tottenham Hotspur former captain Son Heung-min, who led the team to Europa League victory last season, expressed a desire to return to London for a proper goodbye to fans following his August move to LAFC.
Son had stated: “My last game was in Korea, so I want to go back to London to see all the Spurs fans.
“I deserve to say goodbye to them and they deserve to see me physically to say goodbye, it’s going to be a very emotional day… I can’t wait”.
The South Korean star, who scored 229 goals in 495 appearances over a decade with Spurs, left abruptly after a preseason friendly in Seoul, missing a stadium send-off.
He anticipates an emotional visit during the MLS off-season, while Tottenham thrives in fourth place in the Premier League.
