President Trump sent a letter to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum (Families HQ), thanking them for publicly backing him for the Nobel Peace Prize and pledging solidarity with the families. “Melania and I thank you for your tireless work. We remain committed to bringing every hostage home and to ending this conflict,” he wrote, adding that the administration is also committed to fighting antisemitism “at home and abroad.”
The note followed the Families HQ’s appeal urging the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award Trump the Peace Prize, as Cairo talks advance around his proposal to end the war and free all hostages from Hamas terrorists. Hebrew media published the letter and reported Trump’s message of urgency—paired with his insistence that the conflict be wrapped up swiftly.
Nobel nominations are kept confidential by the committee for 50 years; the families’ message is a public endorsement, not an official disclosure from Oslo.
