President Volodymyr Zelenskky: “Today is the second anniversary of the horrific October 7th HAMAS attack on Israel, which resulted in war, massive loss of life, and a humanitarian disaster. We mourn these losses alongside the families and loved ones of all those who died.

“Hostages abducted two years ago are still being held captive, and killings continue. But we now see a chance to end the war, free the hostages, alleviate the humanitarian situation, establish appropriate parameters for restoring normal life, and ensure that the war in the region does not reignite.

“We support @POTUS Donald Trump’s peace efforts and all countries that assist, and we hope that the meetings and contacts taking place these days will yield the necessary results. Peace must prevail, and we wish this for every family and nation.”
