Zelenskyy Applauds US As Treasury Department Sanction Major Russian Oil Companies To Pressure Moscow Into Cease Fire Agreement

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a post on Thursday applauds the U.S Treasure department, as it sanctions major Russian companies, in the hope to force Moscow to stop the war.

The sanction came after Russia drone strike hit a kindergarten in Kharkiv, killing two and injuring others, earlyWednesday.

Zelenskyy in  statement on Thursday appreciated U.S for the added pressure it’s mounting on Moscow, in his words: “The new U.S. sanctions against Russia’s oil giants are a clear signal that prolonging the war and spreading terror come at a cost.

“And this is a fair and absolutely deserved step. It is precisely pressure on Russia that will be effective for achieving peace, and sanctions are one of its key components.

“I thank POTUS and the entire American team for this resolute and well-targeted decision. It is a strong and much-needed message that aggression will not go unanswered.

“A reliable and lasting peace has no alternative. I thank everyone who understands this and works with us to defend lives and restore justice.
