Chiamaka Nnadozie Wins Third Consecutive CAF Women’s Goalkeeper Of The Year Award

Chiamaka Nnadozie has been crowned the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, securing the prestigious honour for the third consecutive time and making history as the first goalkeeper ever to win the award three times. The Nigerian international’s recognition comes after a truly outstanding year for both club and country.

Nnadozie played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s triumphant WAFCON campaign, where the Super Falcons claimed their tenth continental title. Her commanding presence and world-class shot-stopping were instrumental, as she kept four clean sheets throughout the tournament, reinforcing her reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in women’s football.

At club level, Nnadozie enjoyed a remarkable season. She helped Paris FC lift the French Cup, delivering a standout performance in their memorable final win over Paris Saint-Germain. Following her success in France, she made a high-profile move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League (WSL), where she has already made a major impact.

Since arriving in England, Nnadozie has been widely praised, with many hailing her as the signing of the season so far in the WSL. Her outstanding displays have played a crucial role in Brighton’s strong start, with the team currently sitting seventh in a 12-team table. She has helped the Seagulls secure important points against Liverpool, Everton, West Ham, and Aston Villa, while also producing impressive performances against top sides including Arsenal and Manchester United.
