Eight People Injured In A Russia Attack, Target Ukrainian Energy, As Zelenskyy Calls For More Pressure On Putin

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday as called for more pressure on to be exacted on president Vladimir Putin as Russia attack Ukraine in a fresh strike injuring eight people in the process.

Zelenskyy in a statement claimed the pressure from European nations and America on Putin is not enough, calling on nations leaders’ exact more sanction on Moscow’s finances and energy trade.

The Ukrainian statement read: “It was another turbulent night for Ukraine. The Russians attacked our cities with drones – a total of 135 strike UAVs. Since yesterday evening, they have been hitting the Dnipro region – 8 people were injured in an attack on the city of Kamianske, an ordinary residential building has been damaged, along with railway infrastructure.

“Our rescuers acted quickly – 5 people were saved from under the rubble. Thank you. Attacks also struck the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions. The targets are our critical infrastructure – everything that supports ordinary civilian life.

“All the necessary services are working to restore what was damaged and help people wherever it’s needed.

“The fact that the Russians continue targeting energy facilities and civilians shows once again that the pressure is still insufficient. It is crucial that the United States, Europe, and the G7 continue their sanctions and tariff efforts on Russian energy trade and finances.

“And Moscow must finally grasp how serious Europe is about its self-defense. It is time to make a decision on Russia’s frozen assets.

“The political will is already there, and we expect the technical implementation to follow swiftly. It is only fair that the aggressor’s money be used to protect against its war.

“I thank everyone working for peace.”
