Galatasaray has officially announced that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has suffered a muscle injury while on duty with the Super Eagles. The striker picked up a muscle strain with internal bleeding in his left leg during international action, prompting immediate medical evaluation upon his return to Turkey.
The club confirmed the diagnosis on Wednesday following tests conducted at Acıbadem Hospital, their medical partner. In an official statement, Galatasaray detailed the findings:
“In the MRI scans performed today at our sponsor hospital Acıbadem, our football player Victor Osimhen was found to have a moderate strain (strain and bleeding) in the left posterior muscle, and his treatment has begun.”
The injury has been classified as moderate, offering some reassurance, but it will still keep the forward sidelined for the club’s upcoming fixtures. As a result, Osimhen is expected to miss the matches against Gençlerbirliği and Union Saint-Gilloise (USG) while he continues his rehabilitation.
