Ghana Can Host World Cup With Nigeria, Cote D’ivoire – Sports Minister Kofi Adams

Ghana’s Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, says the country is ready and capable of jointly hosting the FIFA World Cup in the near future alongside Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire, BSNSports.com.ng reports

Adams made the statement while addressing sports stakeholders on Thursday, noting that West Africa has the infrastructure, fan base and organizational capacity to stage the biggest football tournament in the world.

According to him, the successful co–hosting of regional and continental competitions, including the Africa Cup of Nations by the three countries in previous years, proves that the region is equipped to handle major global events.

“Ghana is capable of hosting the FIFA World Cup with Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire in the future,” Adams declared.

He emphasized that collaboration between the three West African nations would not only boost tourism and economic development but also strengthen regional unity and enhance global visibility for African football.

If achieved, it would mark the first time in history that the FIFA World Cup would be hosted in West Africa, following South Africa’s historic hosting in 2010.
