Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Baci received physical plaques from Guinness World Records on Thursday for her 2023 93-hour cooking marathon in Lagos and her September 12, 2025, preparation of 8,780 kilograms of jollof rice at the Gino World Jollof Festival in Lagos.
The jollof rice event, which used 1,200 kilograms of gas and produced enough for 16,600 plates, highlights Nigeria’s culinary achievements.
