Obasa’s Son Ganiu Becomes Agege Council Chairman as Tunde Azeez Resigns After 100 Days

A new twist has emerged in Agege Local Government politics as Ganiu Obasa, son of the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has officially assumed office as the Chairman of Agege Local Government following the resignation of the former chairman, Hon. Tunde Azeez, popularly known as Disco, who stepped down citing health challenges.

Hon. Azeez, who reportedly resigned barely 100 days after taking the oath of office, had been on medical leave for several weeks, during which Ganiu Obasa served as acting chairman. His resignation has now paved the way for Ganiu to officially lead the council.
