That day, Roman was in Vinnytsia with his mother, waiting for a doctor’s appointment while visiting his grandmother, when Russian missiles hit the city.
His 29-year-old mother was killed instantly—along with 25 others that day. Roman’s survival was nothing short of a miracle.
Roman endured 36 surgeries and months of painful rehabilitation, yet returned to school, dancing, and music — and received the “Future of Ukraine” award from the President.
