Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu:  “…I am accused of receiving positive media coverage from a second-rate website. In 250 years of liberal democracy, no one has been charged with positive media coverage.

“This is called bribery, but in court it turned out that I had negative and hostile coverage. Two years ago the judges said to drop the bribery charge, but the prosecutors refused because it was a political trial.

“What’s left now? 29 years ago my son took a Bugs Bunny doll and cigarettes from my friend. This trial is ridiculous and has been going on for 4 years, 3 times a week for 8 hours.

“Instead of focusing on peace and technology. I asked for a pardon. This trial is about Bugs Bunny and cigarettes.” He explained
