Crystal Palace returned to winning ways with a hard-earned 1–0 victory over Burnley, secured by a decisive strike from Daniel Muñoz. The win marked an important boost for Palace as they continue their strong start to the Premier League season.
After the match, manager Oliver Glasner praised the commitment and togetherness his side showed throughout the contest.
“We fought for each other and that’s why it is an important win. It would help sometimes because everyone knows in the Premier League that any team can score a goal. The commitment to the team was to a high standard. I am really proud of the team and how they stuck together today.”
Glasner also broke down the team’s performance across the 90 minutes:
“We have to split the games into two parts. We did well in the first 60 minutes, controlled the game and scored a nice goal. The first hour was a good away performance with a good lead. The last half an hour we had to survive. We didn’t have the legs.”
The win lifts Crystal Palace into fifth place in the Premier League table on 23 points.
