Secretary of War Pete Hegseth slammed the door on former president Biden’s Colorado pick as he officially designates Huntsville, Alabama as the new home for U.S. Space Command.
He made the announcement in a statement: “We are rightfully moving U.S. Space Command to Huntsville, Alabama.
“This move will accelerate our space efforts, create tens of thousands of jobs, drive billions in investment, and bolster America’s ability to defend—and dominate—the next frontier.”
Hegseth during his remark speech at the new space command HQ in Alabama appreciated Trump’s input and message; “I also want to pass my congratulations and thanks from President Trump. He wanted me to pass the message on… WELCOME HOME!”
Trump had earlier announced in September: “I am thrilled to report that the U.S. Space Command headquarters will move to the beautiful locale of a place called Huntsville, Alabama — forever to be known, from this point forward, as ROCKET CITY.”
