“I also thank our President Lekjaa Fouzi, for his total commitment to this team and for believing in us at every step of the way.

“And how can we not thank the Moroccan people? Thank you for being there for every match, every minute, every emotion. You were our twelfth man, our strength when our legs were heavy and our hearts ached. We felt your support in Morocco and in every corner of the world.

I want to thank Walid Regragui and his entire staff from the bottom of my heart, but especially my teammates, for the work, the commitment, and the enormous sacrifice we made together during this Africa Cup of Nations. It was 35 days of living together, of constant effort, discipline, and unity.

A group that showed the world that Morocco doesn’t just compete: Morocco inspires.

“Today, this Moroccan national team has become a strong, respected, and admired team, reflecting a country that moves forward with confidence and shows the world that it belongs among the great footballing nations.
