Chelsea have officially parted ways with Raheem Sterling, with the club confirming the termination of the winger’s contract.
Sterling had not featured for Chelsea since 2024, despite remaining one of the club’s highest-paid players on a reported £325,000 per week. During this period, he spent time on loan at Arsenal, with Chelsea continuing to cover a portion of his wages.
The England international made a total of 81 first-team appearances for the Blues during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea announced the decision via their official social media channels, stating:
“We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career.”
The contract termination means Sterling is now available as a free agent and can sign for any club without a transfer fee. According to reports, Napoli and West Ham United are among the clubs interested in securing his services.
