Bashir Ahmad, former aide to late Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari over the weekend have a scuttle with Elias Gerasoulis, of Greek heritage who has been advocating for Biafran nation.
According to public record Gerasoulis has worked with the American Hellenic Institute and advised Greece’s UN mission, he’s also a lobbyist at Moran Global Strategies, focusing on international affairs and foreign clients.
Gerasoulis over the weekend, responded to Ahmad post that partly read: “Nigeria is not Venezuela. We are different in every respect.”
This is coming after U.S forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in Caracas, bringing them to Manhattan federal court for arraignment on charges of narcoterrorism, cocaine trafficking, and weapons violations tied to cartel alliances.
The raid drew condemnation from some quarter in Nigeria, as the former presidential aide insisted that such cannot occur in Nigeria as it’s a sovereign nation.
However, Gerasoulis begged to differ, pointing out that: “Nigeria is worse than Venezuela. So I guess you are ‘different’, in that respect. The US can easily rendition Tinubu and Shettima in the same way it did Venezuela’s Maduro.”
The Greek had further accused Nigerian president Tinubu of being a drug lord and his vice a terrorist apologist, attaching it with a generated image of Tinubu with a white substance on his nose.
Fearing U.S reprisal, some has warned Ahmad to back off with his post and reaction
