Jean-Philippe Mateta and his representatives have informed Crystal Palace of the striker’s desire to leave the club. Mateta is keen to join a top side competing in the UEFA Champions League or at least the Europa League, believing regular exposure at European level would improve his chances of securing a place in France’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
