Liverpool FC have stalled discussions with Tottenham Hotspur over an immediate transfer for Andrew Robertson.

The Liverpool sporting department has decided not to sell Robertson at this stage, halting negotiations despite earlier progress between the two clubs.

Tottenham had agreed a deal in principle with Liverpool for the left-back to join following Liverpool’s final Champions League fixture. However, the move was conditional on Liverpool being able to recall Kostas Tsimikas.

That condition has not been met, as AS Roma are unable to release Tsimikas until they secure a suitable replacement. As a result, Liverpool have paused the deal, leaving Robertson’s potential switch to Spurs on hold for now.
