Mathys Tel Open to Winter Exit Amid Limited Playing Time at Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur forward Mathys Tel is reportedly open to leaving the club this winter due to limited opportunities under current head coach Thomas Frank. The 21-year-old has featured in 17 matches across all competitions this season, starting only six of those games.

Tel initially joined Spurs on loan from Bayern Munich in February 2025 and made the move permanent in June 2025 for a reported fee of £30–45 million. Since joining Tottenham, he has made 38 appearances in total, contributing six goals and two assists.

The French international has attracted interest from both Serie A and La Liga clubs. A mid-season move would likely provide him with more consistent playing time, strengthening his chances of earning a call-up to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the 2026 World Cup.
