Oliver Glasner To Leave Crystal Palace In June After Historic Spell

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will leave the club in June, choosing not to sign a new contract.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Glasner said:

“I already informed the club months ago that I wanted a new challenge.”

He added: “I told Steve I’m just looking for a new challenge. I told him in October, it’s nothing to do with the transfer window.

“I hate if something is written or said which is not true, and it was very tough for me not to respond. We have a great relationship, and we’re always talking about what is best for Crystal Palace.”

Glasner leaves Crystal Palace having delivered the most successful period in the club’s history. Under his guidance, Palace won their first FA Cup and Community Shield, and also qualified for European competition for the first time, securing a spot in the Conference League.

His departure marks the end of a historic era for the south London club.
