Bournemouth Triggers Alex Jiménez Obligation To Buy Clause

AFC Bournemouth have completed the permanent signing of Alex Jiménez from AC Milan, with the previously agreed obligation to buy now activated as planned.

The deal is worth €19.5 million as a fixed fee, with a further €5.3 million in performance-related add-ons. Jiménez has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Premier League side.

The transfer fee will be shared between AC Milan and Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants retaining a 50% sell-on clause from the player’s earlier move to Milan.

Jiménez initially joined Bournemouth on loan last summer for a reported €2 million fee. During the current season, the versatile Spaniard has made 22 appearances for the club, impressing with his adaptability across the right flank.

He has been deployed at right-back, right wing-back, right midfielder, and right winger, becoming a valuable tactical option for the squad.

Bournemouth’s decision to trigger the obligation reflects their confidence in Jiménez’s impact and long-term role at the club.
