FC Barcelona Target Julian Alvarez As Main Striker Reinforcement

FC Barcelona have identified Julian Alvarez as their primary target to strengthen the striker position this summer. Club president Joan Laporta sees Alvarez as the ideal long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Discussions have already taken place between Barcelona and Alvarez’s representatives to assess his availability and potential terms for a move. Sources indicate that Alvarez is open to the idea of joining the Catalan giants.

The main obstacle, however, remains Atletico Madrid, who are reportedly not willing to sell the striker easily. Reports suggest that Atletico would demand a fee in excess of €150 million for Alvarez.

Barcelona plan to engage in talks with Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, exploring options to reduce the asking price. The club is reportedly considering a package deal that could include player swaps alongside a cash offer of €60–70 million.

Julian Alvarez remains one of the most closely watched transfer targets this summer, with his potential move to Barcelona likely to be a major talking point in the transfer market.
