Filipe Luís has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
The decision follows growing speculation over internal unrest within the club, particularly after Flamengo’s defeat in the Recopa Sudamericana against Club Atlético Lanús. Reports indicate that tensions had been building behind the scenes in recent weeks, including a strained relationship with club president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, widely known as Bap.
Despite the circumstances surrounding his departure, Filipe Luís leaves with a remarkable record. During his tenure, he guided Flamengo to major domestic and continental success, lifting the Copa do Brasil, the Copa Libertadores, and the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Brasileirão).
