Mohamed Salah Announces Departure from Liverpool at End of 2025/26 Season

Mohamed Salah has announced that he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/2026 season. In an emotional interview, Salah reflected on his time at the club and the deep connection he has built with the city and its supporters.

“Unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of this season. I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people would become part of my life. Liverpool is not just a football club. It’s a passion, it’s a history, it’s a spirit. I can’t explain in words to anyone not part of this club. We celebrated victory, we won the most important trophies, and we fought together through the hardest times in our life. Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will always be one of you and this club will always be home to me and to my family. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone.”

Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 and has spent nine seasons at Anfield. During his time at the club, he made 435 appearances across all competitions, scoring 255 goals and providing 119 assists. He has won every major trophy available with Liverpool, including the UEFA Champions League in 2018/19, the Premier League in 2019/20, the FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Salah’s announcement marks the end of an era for Liverpool, with the Egyptian forward leaving behind a legacy as one of the club’s most prolific and influential players.
