Real Madrid CF are reportedly keeping a close watch on the progress of Cesc Fàbregas as head coach of Como 1907. According to reports from journalist Jorge C. Picón, members of the Real Madrid board admire Fàbregas and have already made inquiries about his methods and approach to coaching as they closely follow his development on the touchline.
Fàbregas has managed 86 matches since taking charge of Como, recording 37 wins, 24 draws and 25 losses. The former Spanish international first stepped in as interim head coach in November 2023 when the club were sitting sixth in the Serie B standings. Under his leadership, Como achieved automatic promotion to the Serie A after finishing second in the 2023 to 2024 season, bringing an end to the club’s 21 year absence from the Italian top flight.
Como have continued to impress this season and currently sit fourth in the league table with 51 points after 28 matches, having recorded 14 wins, nine draws and five losses. Their impressive campaign has also extended to the Coppa Italia where the club have reached the semi finals, marking their first appearance at this stage of the competition in 40 years.
