Sandro Tonali has given his approval to join Manchester United, but only if the club secures qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester United have been in constant contact with Tonali’s camp in recent weeks and have received encouragement and optimism regarding a potential move.
Tonali is keen on the switch under the Champions League condition, and personal terms are NOT expected to be an issue.
As it stands, there are no active negotiations between Manchester United and Newcastle United. However, formal talks are expected to begin at the end of the season, once both clubs’ final league positions are confirmed.
Newcastle are not keen to sell the Italian midfielder, but could consider offers in the region of £70m to £80m if the player pushes for a move, particularly if they miss out on European football.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are expected to negotiate a lower package in the region of £55m to £60m.
Interest in Tonali also remains from Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City, but Manchester United are currently viewed as the favorite destination for the Italian midfielder.
