UK Prime Minister Says Various Religion Celebration At The Trafalgar Square Shows Strength Of The Country’s Diversity, Urge Badenoch To Sack MP Nick Timothy Over Criticism Of Iftar Gathering.

The UK Prime minister Keir Stamer has called on Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch to sack MP Nick Timothy over criticism of a public Iftar gathering in London’s Trafalgar Square, calling it an “act of domination” in a post on X.

Timothy shared a video of people offering prayers during the the “Open Iftar” event and wrote that “mass ritual prayer in mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination adding that such events “shouldn’t happen again.”

However, Starmer have a contradictory view to his, categorically affirming that various religious practices at the Trafalgar Square shows the diversity of the country while he calls for Timothy resignation.

In his words: “I’m proud of our tolerant and diverse country. I’m proud that in Trafalgar Square we celebrate all faiths.

“That’s British values. The comments from Nick Timothy are shameful. Kemi Badenoch should do the right thing and sack him.”
