The Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes claimed both Premier League Player of the Month and club Player of the Month for March, matching Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of six PL honors for a United player.
He racked up two goals and four assists in four games, fueling key wins like the one over Aston Villa that kept United third with 55 points.
Fernandes called it a huge honor to join Ronaldo’s company stating: “It’s always good company. We know when records are there his name will ALWAYS be around. It’s a huge honour and privilege to be close to him.”
The captain urged his team to aim beyond top four, eyes on the title as they face Leeds next: “There shouldn’t be a discussion of the top 4 in our club, we should be aiming HIGHER than that, but we knew that was our AIM this season to play Champions League football.
“We’re there in that position and it depends solely on ourselves, so we have to get the job done.” Fernades stated.
