Alessandro Bastoni is reportedly prepared to do everything possible to secure a move to Barcelona, as interest in the Inter Milan defender continues to grow ahead of the summer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo, if Bastoni reaches an agreement with Barça, he intends to sit down with Inter to facilitate his departure and push for a reduced transfer fee ldespite the Italian club’s current valuation of €70m–€80m.
The 25-year-old is said to be a strong admirer of Barcelona, closely following the team and expressing particular enthusiasm for Hansi Flick’s project. Sources suggest Bastoni has a deep appreciation for the club and the city, further strengthening his desire to make the move.
Although there has been interest from Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Bastoni’s priority remains clear: Barcelona. If a deal does not materialise, he is expected to stay at Inter Milan.
With Inter recently eliminated from the UEFA Champions League but closing in on the Serie A title, Barcelona reportedly see an opportunity to open formal negotiations. Progress has already been made on personal terms between the player and the club.
However, the final decision will depend on Hansi Flick, who is scheduled to meet with sporting director Deco to outline plans for next season. Bastoni currently stands as Barcelona’s top target to strengthen their defence.
