Brighton Eye Atubolu As Potential Verbruggen Replacement

Brighton & Hove Albion have identified Noah Atubolu as a potential goalkeeping option ahead of next season, amid preparations for a possible departure of Bart Verbruggen.

While not the club’s top target, Atubolu is understood to be high on Brighton’s shortlist as they assess reinforcements between the posts.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper is expected to leave SC Freiburg either this summer or, at the latest, in 2027 when his contract expires. He has been one of the standout goalkeepers in the Bundesliga this season.

Atubolu has made 29 appearances for Freiburg in the current campaign, recording six clean sheets and further enhancing his growing reputation.

With uncertainty surrounding Verbruggen’s future, Brighton & Hove Albion are actively exploring their options, with Atubolu emerging as a strong candidate for the role.
