A Texas cop Ashley Gonzales, has been dismissed by the Houston Police Department over her offensive and racist tirades in a viral social media video.
The HPD in a statement released said it “holds every officer to the highest standards of integrity and conduct and will not waver in upholding this expectation.”
This is coming after the department internal investigation into the alleged racist rant targeting “black people” posted on social media.
Gonzalez is accused of making multiple racial remarks in the social media post, proclaiming she “hates black people” and threatening to arrest any “black person” if they were at a call she was dispatched to, according to the clip shared by Grizzy’s Hood News.
Gonzalez shared a story of an off-duty encounter she had with someone she accused of trying to steal her wallet from her purse, claiming she grabbed the person before calling them a racial slur.
“Y’all don’t know how good it felt to say [racial slur] out loud. Oh my God, I felt like I was back in the Marine Corps,” the woman said. “I felt like the world just stopped. It felt like peace.”
Gonzalez was confirmed to have served in the US Marine Corps between 2019 and 2023, where she attained the rank of corporal, E3, Click2Houston reported.
She also mocked slavery, racial discrimination and stereotypes during her tirade.
