Marcus Rashford is expected to leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season, with a return to Manchester United increasingly likely this summer.
Barcelona have reportedly decided against making Rashford’s loan move permanent, despite discussions over reducing the transfer fee or extending his stay for another season. The club’s stance effectively ends hopes of a long-term deal in Spain for the forward.
According to reports from Marca, if Rashford does return to Manchester, his future will depend on the manager’s plans. He could either be reintegrated into the squad in an effort to help him rediscover his best form or placed on the transfer market again as part of a potential summer reshuffle.
